Chance Patrick

Chance's Head Shot

Entrepreneurial and forward-thinking are two traits that Chance Patrick unmistakably demonstrates. After graduating with a Telecommunication major and a Business minor from Texas A&M, he immediately married his sweetheart Claire, and moved to Austin to take the capitol by storm and potentially start his own company. During Chance's childhood, he always came out on top - profit-wise - in family garage sales. His entrepreneurial spirit shone in high school as well, when he and a friend created and sold their own clothing line: Chanceism. It may not have been the MOST successful venture ever, but his hard work and persistence was evident at a young age.

The fact that Chance is relatively right-brained doesn’t detract from his creative side. He's definitely a foodie, as well as a writer – a food blogger as a matter of fact. He's pretty passionate about edible delicacies. With over ten years in the food service industry, his creative cooking and meal planning can't be beat. He's been known to create fabulous dishes from whatever he could scrounge up in the pantry, leftover Thanksgiving turkey, and a number of other seemingly disposable ingredients.

His love of food is only rivaled by his love for the family pets, Freddie and Brewster. He's an animal lover at heart – he practically begs the dogs to go on walks or to the dog park with him. He falls in love with almost every animal he meets – it's a wonder the Patrick household doesn't include at least 20 four legged creatures. Thank goodness for limits from the Home Owner's Association. He’s definitely willing to take care of others’ pets to make up for his own imposed boundaries.

He's also known to take care of errands without even being asked. He's great at the little things, from hanging curtains, to taking care of the family banking, to having Claire's oil changed and car inspected without her even realizing. He's excited to be able to expand his services to a larger audience to help others improve their quality of life. He's experienced the demands of a job with long hours and a ten-mile-long to-do list, and he knows sometimes it’s the little things that need doing. He’s ready to help – are you ready for him?

Claire's Head Shot

Claire Patrick is a creative force to be reckoned with. She graduated in 2006 from Texas A&M University with a Telecommunication Media Studies degree, but not before brief stints in other creative fields: Environmental Design, and Radio-TV-Film (at the University of Texas). Claire has always had a passion for the arts, and her love of creativity was just one of the many reasons she forced Chance to move to the Austin area upon graduation. Claire grew up taking as many art and music classes as she could find time to enroll in. She enjoys photography and has most recently been taking courses in Interior Design, in order to better help others decorate their homes.

Her creative side, however, does not supercede her need to be organized. She's a top-notch planner and organizer - which could be due to her mild OCD – nevertheless, she can help even the most organizationally challenged learn how to put things in their proper place. She may be slightly odd since she has a love for packing and labeling boxes for moves, and unpacking and putting things in their 'homes', but her friends and family have never seemed to mind this bizarre behavior.

Her desire for a plan has led her to be pretty talented at creating itineraries. From day trips for out-of-town visitors, to 10 day vacations, she loves to study the best places to shop, eat, and stay while on the road. Just ask her and she'll show you her mapped-out, extremely detailed daily itinerary from her most recent vacation with Chance to San Francisco.

Claire, like most women, also loves a good sale. She's a hunter who can find even the most elusive 'wanted' items, and who can turn hideous pieces into treasures. She's ready and willing to shop for anniversary or birthday gifts, plan and decorate for a small party, or even sell unwanted items to other bargain seekers like herself. She'd love to 'gussy up' that ugly old chest of drawers you found at a garage sale while she's at it.

She's Chance's other (but not necessarily better) half. Their skills balance one another nicely – which is why they're able to work together so well to provide the Austin area with the expertise a lifestyle management company should.

Why "Lifestyle Management"?

With Chance working over 60 hours a week, and myself trying to stay on top of the household duties, we often found ourselves wishing for extra hands to complete our never-ending to-do list and more time to spend with each other.

One particular afternoon, while we were together, we ended up discussing all the time we wish we had, and all the people that probably dealt with the exact same thing: too many things to do, and not nearly enough time. With this conversation, and the desire to serve others, WholeNine Lifestyle Management was born.

We'd "love to be your extra hands, so you don't have to grow 'em." We'll be there to do the things you don’t want to do, so you can have more time for yourself and your family. You know a quiet afternoon at the spa, or at the bookstore with your spouse, or at the park with your kids sounds great, so why don’t you take the time off and leave the checklist to WholeNine.
