A few months back WholeNine had the pleasure of pet sitting a couple of really sweet, really awesome dogs.
Probably one in every ten recipes really blows me away. Most of the time I find them bland, derived, or just not inspiring. That is why I generally just create on my own without the list of guidelines that recipes provide. However, every once in a while a good one comes along. That is what happened last Thursday. I came across this Better Homes and Gardens recipe for Salmon-Walnut Rice Pie (IE: Quiche) in my weekly meal planning activities. Not only does the rice crust provide a unique and healthy alternative to the traditional pie crust the recipe also allows for a lot of creativity.
When you’ve got friends and relatives coming to visit and your only guest room is also your kids’ “playroom”, you might find yourself slightly overwhelmed. This was the case with a recent client, Mrs. “T”. Things had gotten slightly out-of-hand, and with all of the extra preparation she had to do for her guests (planning what to cook, cleaning the house, etc.), she didn’t really have the time or the energy to deal with what seemed to be a daunting task.

If you’ve read our blog, you’ll know that we’ve done everything from setting up a garage sale, to pantry organization, to design consultation, to grocery shopping for people. We also love pets, and soon we’ll tell you about our recent pet-sitting adventures. One of the ONLY things that’s been thrown at us that we WON’T do is babysit. Not that we don’t like kids, babysitting just doesn’t fall under our areas of expertise.
